Shipping FAQ's


We hope this FAQ will answer many of the questions about shipping.

Q. Which service do you use for shipping?
A. All items are shipped from our warehouse using Royal Mail, City Link or TNT unless requested otherwise. Typically we use 21st class recorded service for small orders but you can select other shipping methods at checkout. For large item (1.0M rails or over for instance we will use City Link or TNT.

Q. Why are the items sometimes shipped from the U

A. We try to find out which will be the lower cost for any sale outside U
K for worldwide sale, if the item is in stock in the USA and the overall cost to ship is lower than shipping from UK then we will ship from USA

Q. Can you provide tracking information?

A. Where possible we always send an email to you with tracking information.

Q. Can you speed up the shipping once the item has left the warehouse?

A. No, once the item is in the hands of the parcel services there is nothing we can do to expedite shipping, you should contact the parcel service using your tracking number to track your parcels whereabouts.

Q. If I order and I live outside UK are there extra charges to pay?

A. Generally, yes, this is country specific, the duty and tax charges are collected by the parcel service on your behalf when the items enter your country via Customs and you will be charged appropriately by your Customs Agency. These costs are not included in our sales prices and they are totally out of our control.
