Belt Drive
These kits are belt driven, so the overall cost is very low because expensive drive motion systems are not used. They are used to cut woods, MDF, Plywood and plastics and Non-Ferrous metals in multiple passes. Available in a variety of styles. Perfect for low height materials we use belt drive on our CNC, Foam and Plasma systems. The smaller sytems use GT2 belt whereas the C-Rail systems use AT5 Polyurethane belts so can cut much thicker materials in less passes
TR / ACME
These kits are small lead screw driven, again the overall cost is very low because expensive drive motion systems are not used. They are used to cut woods, MDF, Plywood and plastics and Non-Ferrous metals in multiple passes but generally have greater control than belt drive systems.
Ballscrew
These systems use the traditional ball screw systems. Widely available but adding considerable cost to any system. In fact because our systems are designed to be low cost anyway, the ballscrew motion system can double the cost of the CNC complete kit. Very good anti backlash capabilities and solid reliable motion. The main restriction is that ballscrews on long axis are prone to whip if the ballscrew is made to rotate too fast. Also on larger axis much larger ballscrew may be required. We offer ballscrew on up to 2M systems, but we can if required add ballscrew to longer systems at client request.
Rack and Pinion
Typically used on long axes, but available here on short or long axes, the Rack and Pinion system provides solid, reliable drive motion for many different types of CNC systems.

These systems will cut many different types of materials.

Speed is also a factor in these systems as well. Faster than belt or Ballscrew because the motor directly rotates onto the drive spur gear. We offer the largest range of machines on this drive because it is so flexible to use.
